About us
Media West is currently run by Martin Sercombe and Britta Pollmuller. Projects are funded either as direct commissions or via grants from arts and educational agencies. We involve a wide range of other arts practitioners on a project by project basis, including composers, poets, historians, puppeteers, animators, film-makers, teachers and drama practitioners.
Since moving to Auckland, Martin Sercombe has taught 16mm film and digital video production at Auckland University of Technology and run a range of animation workshops for young people in the community. He has made many short films exploring approaches to lyrical abstraction and cinematic poetry.
Britta Pollmuller is a mixed media fine art painter, printmaker, stop frame animator and media educator.
